The picture you see above are the before and after result of my best friends Dc2 Integra when he hit the local roads in Escondido. Now before we get into “Hondas are gay” or “Stop street racing” debates let me give you a little insight on the life of a regular college/high school kids life here in this small San Diego city. We live our lives on a day to day basis finding basicially anything that can keep us busy as there aren’t many social hang out places like in the main city such as boba shops, beach get aways, etc. Everything that usual people would find as “fun” is either 30 mins away or just plain out boring to us. We’re the group of people who can barely put gas into our tanks to get us here and there and worry about getting to class or work. The car you see above is obviously set up to tackle a road, what a sports car was meant to do. Not sit all pretty in a garage to be taken out maybe once or twice a year. Like many people think of when they see Hondas. We daily all our machines but also put it to the limit as that is all we can get our hands on. We don’t have rich ass parents who can buy us parts, gas, and time at the track. We have two hands, two legs, the gas, brake, and clutch. So before you rip on him and tell him street racing is stupid remind yourselves, we have a passion just like you guys, we just don’t have the money or ease of a second daily to let us. This is the other side of the Honda game that has been eclipsed by the “Hi I’m here to park my car and nothing else” kind of people. I’ve never had a negative opinion of other styles whether it be Stance, Muscle, Track, Drag, Etc. And you guys shouldn’t either. The car community will die if we all bicker and fight about what is better and what is more fun. Every car is it’s own in one way or another leave it at that.
